"My Irish Dream" Installation

U.I.C.A., Grand Rapids, Mi 2007 After living in Western Connemara, Ireland for five months, my dreams reflected the Irish mythology, fairy tales, and especially the landscape, where I rolled down hills of Irish moss with my daughter. In "My Irish Dream", I attempted to recreate a dream of my bones sinking into the moss carpet of the remains of an early Irish church on Omi, a tidal island. Ceramic shoes moved through walls, referencing the Irish faeries, who appear and disappear as full-grown humans.
